Organic Romanesco Veronica
Veronica is an attractive and unusual Romanesco type cauliflower. A striking example of fractal geometry found in nature, its lime-green heads form spirals upon spirals of turreted spears.Â
Romanesco Veronica has a slightly smoother than the traditional white cauliflowers with a nutty, earthy flavor and slightly crunchy texture.
Plants can grow to up to 75cm tall before producing flower buds. They will do best when planted in the summer for a fall harvest, or winter harvest in mild climates.
Interesting note: Romanesco types are often referred to as calabrese but, botanically, they are still cauliflower.
